Thomas Klumpp, managing director of Ferag Australia, says his company is aiming for a 50 – 50 split between Ferag and other manufacturers’ solutions. Among the non-Ferag kit on the stand was the range of JobFolio fixed price finishing equipment.

JobFolio is a whole new finishing line, with simplicity, robust performance, ease of operation, and ease of payment the watchwords. The new JobFolio product range includes conveying systems and various processing and finishing units. Those currently available include JobStack, a compensating stacker, JobFeed, which is a log feeder, and strapping unit available in either semi automatic or manual versions, known as JobStrap

In prepress Ferag is now supplying both Xingraphics CTP (a rebadged Screen Platerite) with thermal plates, and Highwater CTP with Kodak violet plates.

Juerg Moeckli, Ferag’s managing director who was in from Switzerland for the show said the company’s focus was on added value solutions, he says, “Inline stitch and trim, polybagging and the like are enabling our customers to obtain maximum value from their equipment.’ Mokli pointed out that Australia is Ferag’s third biggest market after Germany and the UK.
