The association for companies providing creative, multimedia, digital pre-press, data and print management services is holding free information and networking sessions in conjunction with EFI.
The aim of the evenings, which will be held in Sydney and Melbourne, is to look beyond the presses at two key workflow tools.
“While customers may not see them, advanced MIS and digital controllers will improve your profitability,” says GASAA.
The one hour long sessions will explain why it is important to take time with print vendors to understand what’s driving your digital press.
GASAA says digital controllers are more than just a RIP, and in these sessions they will discuss what to look for in this critical, but often misunderstood area of digital workflow.
Those who attend will get a sense of how an advanced MIS can improve productivity and profitability. World trends on where the industry is heading will also be discussed.
Ian Purlang from EFI will speak on Print MIS and show end users how EFI Print MIS can help them reduce administrative bottlenecks, therefore increasing throughput.
Ben Taylor will discuss EFI Fiery and how Fiery supports variable data printing, colour management, higher productivity and seamless integration.
Anthony Parnemann will give an outline of the direction the industry is taking, picking up on international developments and recent trade shows.
The Sydney session will be held on November 8 and Petersham RSL, Newtown, and the Melbourne session will take place November 9 at LaTrobe Gold Club, Alphington.
