Fuji Xerox launches new DocuColor 5065

Designed to meet the rigorous image quality standards of the graphic arts professional while delivering the output speed and productivity for in-house production, the DC5065 will be a profitable choice for print operators.

In the DC5065 you will find key technologies developed for Fuji Xerox’s high volume production systems, plus learning from the market success of the benchmark DocuColor 1250 / 1256 products, combined to deliver a system with astounding performance specifications.

The combination of a new engine design with a shorter paper path, with Fuji Xerox’s unique intermediate belt technology ensures that the DC5065 can deliver regular monthly print volumes of 60-65,000 (and up to 300,000 peak volume) on a wide variety of media at speeds of up to 50 pages per minute in full colour.

Superb image quality arises from the highest resolution colour laser (2,400 x 2,400 dpi) in the world, to which Fuji Xerox have added new screening and image enhancement to improve reproduction of images and text.
Utilisation of high quality emulsion aggregation toner provides sharp colour intensive images in optional matt or gloss, even when printing on media up to 300gsm.

Add to this, the imaging expertise of EFI through the bustled Fiery System 6e controller (RIP) for convenient print management plus a comprehensive suite of colour management and imposition tools. Usability of the DocuColour 5065 is also enhanced by the full size colour user interface, while productivity is maintained with
speedy first-copy-out times of less that 8 seconds, toner load while running and high capacity paper trays.
Optional finishers include booklet making, centre fold, hole punch and stapling.

These innovations mean that with the DocuColor 5065 print businesses will be able to take a serious step-up in output performance and quality, while gaining experience with technologies and capabilities which dovetail with those of the full production colour systems offered by Fuji Xerox.
