Fuji Xerox says the new family offers outstanding print quality, sophisticated colour management, broad stock capability, high productivity and flexible finishing The four printers include the Xerox DocuColor 252, DocuColor 5065 II, DocuColor 6075 II, and DocuColor 6075 II PRO. Workflow enhancements will bring additional job flexibility and efficiency to Fuji Xerox's new digital colour systems, and a new choice of four rips means that the engines can be configured according to application..
Henryk Kraszewski, production colour marketing manager says, "The entry level digital colour production space is by far the fastest growing segment of the digital market right now, with commercial printers, franchises, agencies and implants all looking at digital colour.
"The entire DocuColor family has been revamped in order to take entry level digital colour printing to a new level. They were designed to produce a broad variety of work with high quality and rapid turnaround – whilst being very cost effective", he says.
Visitors to PrintEx were introduced to the DocuColor 6075 II PRO Production Colour Printer/Copier, a system that makes high image quality accessible at an affordable price, Australian Printer understands it will retail for less than $100,000, and this is the printer that will most likely interest commercial printers, as it also comes with a multi-functional finishing solution.
The new DocuColor 6075 II features market leading image quality and ease of use. Productivity is boosted by up to 20 percent over the DocuColor 5065, extending the colour print speed up to 60ppm, monochrome to 75ppm.
Fuji Xerox is also announcing the Xerox DocuColor 252 and DocuColor 5065 II, with the same high-quality image output and speed as their previous DocuColor models, but with expanded finishing options and an enhanced user interface.
The 60-ppm colour / 75-ppm black-and-white DocuColor 6075 II and 6075 II PRO systems are faster than other Xerox light production systems and feature updated user interfaces, new colour server options and expanded finishing options for signature booklets and complex folding.
Fuji Xerox offers a selection of four workflow offerings: Creo colour server which will be used by commercial printers, FreeFlow DocuSP colour server for implants, franchises and quick printers, EFI Splash RPX-ii colour server for agencies, and EFI Fiery bustled controller also for quick printers. Xerox says these rips offer ease of use, sophisticated colour management tools, and support for variable data applications.
The new production finisher is the latest choice offered by Fuji Xerox and includes hole punching, side-stitching and saddle-stitching, as well as V-fold capability, tri-fold and Z-fold capabilities for mailings, and an interposer that allows pre-printed material to be incorporated into print jobs.
The DocuColor 252, DocuColor 5065 II, DocuColor 6075 II, and DocuColor 6075 II PRO all deliver 2400 x 2400 dpi image quality with proprietary 32-laser beam technology. This advanced technology provides precise line and shadow detail on materials like brochures, posters and personalised marketing collaterals.
Kraszewski says that a key strength of Fuji Xerox is its ability to deliver colour production systems from the light versions all the way through to iGen3, he says, "Regardless of your needs, we offer the broadest range of digital colour solutions. Our solutions are scalable – we can meet your needs at any stage of your business growth."
The light family of printers are aimed at producing up to 50,000 pages a month, Xerox's next level up is represented by the DocuColor 5000.
