Fujifilm BI Aust boosts print security with launch of MPS Guardia

Fujifilm Business Innovation (BI) Australia has launched MPS Guardia, its new cyber security enhanced managed print service.

Designed and developed by Fujifilm BI, the service provides the latest in print security for printing and document management and is available as part of the company’s cloud or on-premises managed print services.

Fujifilm BI product marketing manager Stu Hammond said, “Endpoint security and printer access vulnerability is a major concern for businesses today and MPS Guardia could be a game-changer for organisations in Australia.

“From the devices themselves to documents and data, it offers the latest protection against ever-increasing cyber threats such as unrestricted remote access via printers and devices to stored data on hard drives and, because of hybrid work environments, the expansion of networks, devices and entry points.

“MPS Guardia is more than a powerful security solution – it delivers seamless control, improved uptime and enhanced productivity in one trusted package providing organisations with the highest level of security and peace of mind for their printing and document management.

“Organisations that use MPS Guardia can rest assured their data not only has our highest level of protection but they can receive, in real-time, up to 129 vulnerability monitoring alerts.

“A nifty feature, given an increased focus on sustainability, is the inbuilt Eco DX platform which gives the customer usage statistics, print habits, energy use and CO2 emissions benchmarked against other users.”

Fujifilm BI’s range of devices is ISO 2700 and 9001 certified, ensuring that its IT products are known for their reliability, quality and trustworthiness.

Benefits of MPS Guardia include:

Print environment security: MPS Guardia operates without any back channel into a client’s firewall-protected environment, enabling device, document and data security. All reporting and oversight are accessed via an external MPS Guardia portal, preserving maximum security. Applying sophisticated encryption of all print jobs, customisable user authentication, and security settings ensures the organisation’s print environment complies with security policies and all relevant standards.

Visibility and control: The MPS Guardia portal gives customers access to their individualised dashboard via an internet browser, allowing visibility of their entire Multi-Functional Device (MFD) fleet status from anywhere, on any device. From the portal, customers can manage devices across their network, monitor and report device faults, install updates and change security settings, and have complete visibility and control of reporting and billing.

Predictive support: MPS Guardia delivers predictive support to ensure continuous performance and availability. It constantly communicates with every connected Fujifilm and selected third-party print device in your network, monitoring and using trend analysis to prevent service-impacting events or incidents.

Options to suit all organisations: Organisations of different sizes and operating models have different monitoring needs, and MPS Guardia offers flexible options to suit any fleet with three levels: Lite, Essentials and Enterprise Plus.

MPS Guardia is available now as part of Fujifilm BI’s cloud or on-premise managed print services.
