GAMAA awards three industry scholarships for 2009

Successful recipients include Darren Reynolds, production manager – printing and pre press for Cryovac Australia; Christoph Lebesmuehlbacher, customer support manager WA for Heidelberg Graphic Equipment; and Stephen Murphy, press operations manager for Fairfax Printers.

Mitchell Mulligan, president of GAMAA says, “On behalf of the GAMAA members I welcome the new scholars and commend them on their commitment to furthering their education through our Leadership Programme.”

Mulligan continues, “The GAMAA Leadership Programme has awarded over thirty four scholarships since its inception in 2002 including thirty full scholarships.”

Also, Samantha Crock, education manager for GAMAA says, “The 2009 Scholarship round attracted a high calibre of applicant which made selection extremely difficult.”

Following the notification of his scholarships Darren Reynolds says it is a great honour to be accepted into the GAMAA leadership programme.

He continues, “In this time of economic uncertainty focussing energy on the development of people will ensure that the industry continues to prosper and I must thank GAMAA for this valuable initiative.”

Selection was made via written application and personal interview.
