High profile presenters for National Print Awards

Entertainer and impressionist Paul Martell with his fast- paced Irish wit and an array of Hollywood impressions will co-host the event, which takes place in the Ballroom at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour, on Friday, May 12.

Sully and Martell will announce this year’s gold-medal and sponsors’ awards, including:
• the Paperlinx Award for printing excellence by an apprentice
• the Agfa Award for the most innovative use of imaging
• the Heidelberg Australia Award for excellence in craft.

Chairman of the judges and Australian Printer columnist, Rod Urquhart, says, “The quality of print submitted has been the highest ever.”

Tickets for the event cost $135 per head – there has been no increase in five years, say the organisers – and intending diners have been urged to book early in order to avoid disappointment. Tables of 10 will be allocated in order of booking.

Invitations were mailed to sponsors, patrons and entrants on March 20.

Invitations can also be obtained by visiting www.nationalprintawards.com.au and downloading an invitation/registration form.

Entrée cards/name tags will be sent by mail as acknowledgement of registration. Since admission is by prior registration only, bookings close April 24.

Scott Telfer , National Print Awards chairman, says, “The industry can look forward to a memorable night, with premium foods and wines selected for the presentation dinner.”
