HP Designjet prints used in Sydney art exhibition

According to organisers, the Glebe 150 Locals Photographic Exhibition will transform the entire suburb into an art exhibition as part of the Grand Tour Gallery initiative, with HP producing 150 life-sized portraits to celebrate the launch.

“HP is pleased to support this unique and innovative event,” said Shane Lucas, director of HP Graphic Arts South Pacific. “All the photographs will be produced on our HP Designjet range ensuring the final prints represent the high quality production values expected by the photographers.”

Outdoor displays will be produced on the Designjet L65500 latex ink printer, whilst indoor prints will be produced on the Designjet Z3200 photo printer.

The portraits – taken by Australian photographers North Sullivan and Tom Psomotragos and featuring prominent Glebe residents such as artist Reg Mombassa and piano player Bridie King (pictured) – will be displayed throughout the suburb from October 24 until November 28 at nearly 60 indoor and outdoor locations.

The Grand Tour Gallery is an initiative from the Glebe Chamber of Commerce aimed at providing a public space for Australian photographers to showcase their artworks. Organisers are expecting the 150 Locals exhibition to attract 150,000 visitors this year.
