HP introduces new Indigo label solution

Designed for greater cost-efficiency, productivity and ease-of-use, the HP Indigo press ws4050 is the successor to the HP Indigo press ws4000. Capable of a wide range of applications, the ws4050 improves on the ws4000 by enabling converters to capture shrink-sleeve applications. It will make its debut appearance in Asia Pacific at the Label Expo Singapore that will take place from November 23 to 25.

Steve Donegal, HP Asia Pacific and Japan business Manager for digital presses, says, “HP has achieved strong success with its HP Indigo presses in Australia, New Zealand & Japan. In Australia, HP dominates the digital wine label market due to the high performance and flexibility of HP’s Industrial Solutions. HP Indigo installations are producing on an average of 40 per cent more labels as compared to the rest of the region and we expect to see this productivity increase further with the introduction of the HP Indigo ws4050.”

The HP Indigo press ws4050 digitally prints on a wider than ever range of substrate types and sizes, including conductive and shrink-sleeve film. Other advantages include a new ink-set for finer imaging, a reinsertion capability that enables duplex imaging for two-sided prime labels, and solutions that support essential FDA-compliant validation for pharmaceutical labels.

The HP Indigo range of digital presses is supplied in Australia by The Currie Group.
