SmartStream Designer 4 can integrate and preview versioned jobs with a combination of fixed elements, along with variable text and images. The software also offers imposition tools for large-format printers for fixed and variable jobs.
“There is an enormous opportunity for variable data printing and SmartStream Designer 4 unlocks this opportunity in the large-format market,” said HP Scitex large-format solutions general manager Yariv Avisar.
HP said early customers had reported massive time savings from the use of SmartStream compared to manual pre-press, with one claiming a 93% reduction.
