Industry metal giants to talk drupa

The Lithographic Institute of Australia (LIA) and Printing Industries have organised its next post-drupa info night, with print heavyweights Heidelberg, manroland and Cyber Australia set to discuss offset print solutions.

Slated for next Tuesday September 27 at North Ryde RSL, several of print’s biggest players will educate LIA and PIAA members on the latest print technology and solutions, with a particular focus on offset.

According to the LIA, each of the three suppliers will present an overview of their respective technologies, highlighting application advantages from prepress, press, post press and digital enhancements.

Offset printing remains by far the biggest method of print production, with some 70 per cent of all print produced on litho presses.

The press manufacturers have not stood still while the digital world has been moving, today’s presses, and those of tomorrow, are capable of high productivity thanks to automation and digital workflow, with makeready times down to a few minutes.

Those who did not attend drupa 2016 can join the LIA and PIAA in this technical evening to learn the latest on where the market is heading.

Dinner will be provided at the North Ryde RSL, with a price at $65 for LIA and PIAA members with $75 for non-members.
