Inktec launches bulk ink systems

The systems have been developed in conjunction with Inktec in Europe in response to a demand by printers needing a continuous inking system for larger printing jobs.

National sales manager, Ian Erasmus, says some jobs, like banners, need to be printed overnight and without a continuous inking system, inks can run out.

The two new systems are the Inkflo 5000 for HP 5000 and 5500 printers using dye or pigment inks. The system incorporates the SOL-5000 11, an electronic control used to bypass the chip system used on original HP cartridges enabling ink feed to be taken from the bulk storage ink containers housed in a specially designed rack.

The InkFlo Mk 2 is a simple to install system for Mimaki, JV3-160SP, Mutoh Falcon and Rockhopper large format printers.

Both systems take less than 10 minutes to install, have in-built ink filers to ensure trouble free printing and will provide ink for 24 hours continuous printing. The Inkflo Mk 2 can handle all types of ink, dye pigment and solvent, but the Inkflo 5000 will only take Inktec inks.
