Ipex gets INNOV8ive

INNOV8 is a 200-seat purpose built theatre which will host a daily programme of keynote addresses, briefings, presentations and debates charting the future course of the graphic arts industry.

Ipex exhibition director Trevor Crawford says the INNOV8 programme is a dynamic, interactive ideas exchange, providing real value to every printer’s visit, catering for all needs and interests.

“We’ve invested heavily in a number of new initiatives at Ipex 2006 where visitors can be inspired, where they can better interpret the Ipex experience and raise the bar for innovation,” says Crawford.

Heidelberg CEO Bernhard Schreier and Kodak CEO and president Antonio M Perez have already been secured as keynote speakers at the event, and industry bodies such as the World Packaging Organisation (WPO) the Federation of the Periodical Press (FIPP) and the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) will lead sector overviews.

Topics covered during the week include emerging applications, developments and new technologies, opportunities for businesses, strategy and best practice. Each day will focus on different countries and different sectors.

The full INNOV8 programme will be available in October 2005. Ipex 2006 is set to be the number one global printing show
of the year and is being held from April 4-11, 2006 in Birmingham.
