Chili Publish

Chili Publisher is an online document editor, developing powerful web-based software with distribution partners around the world. At Ipex, Chili Publish will show version 4 for the first time to the public. Version 4 features a new HTML5 editor, next to the Flash based version. Other features include preview of documents on a full 3D model and integration with DirectSmile.

 

CP Bourg

 CP Bourg will launch of the Bourg booklet maker ExPress, which is aimed at the expansively high quality full colour booklet making segment. This robust inline booklet maker has been designed to operate inline with the HP Indigo 7000 series digital printer. The machine is fully integrated, automated and synchronised with the HP printer so that it can produce short run jobs quickly without operator intervention.  CP Bourg is also highlighting its new perfect binder, the Bourg BB3202, the winner of the prestigious Print13 Must See 'Ems award.  The BB3202 EVA/PUR configuration's flexibility lets users mix or match collated content and covers from multiple off-line digital or analog printers through the Bourg BSF sheet feeder.

 

Domino

Domino Printing Sciences was founded in 1978 and has established a global reputation for the development and manufacture of industrial digital ink jet printing technologies and unrivalled customer support.

Its range of high quality, reliable and flexible digital ink jet printers and control systems deliver solutions that can be integrated into existing production equipment for variable data printing applications including QR 2D codes, barcodes, addressing, versioning and messaging.

Visitors will see the benefits of Domino’s versatile K600i monochrome ink jet printer, which has a configurable print width from 108mm to 558mm, and delivers 600dpi high resolution UV curable print at speeds of 50 – 75 metres per minute – double the speed of most high resolution digital systems.

Domino’s high performance Bitjet+ v4.5 will also be showcased, capable of in-line printing of addresses, barcodes, 2D codes and graphics on all media types with no extra drying equipment, even when operating at the speed of the fastest web presses.

 

Duplo

Duplo is to use Ipex as the launchpad for its latest multi-finishing device, which the company says increases the range of finishes offered by its established DC-645i “at least tenfold”. The new DC-646Pro slitter/cutter/creaser was the next generation of fully automated multi-finisher, offering up to eight slits, 25 cross-cuts and 20 creases in a single pass. the DC-646Pro comes with cutting on the X and Y axes and creasing on the short-edge, but with the addition of rotary creasing, slit-score, kiss-cutting and perforating, micro and standard, across and down the sheet.

 

EFI

One of the latest technological developments to incorporate crossmedia into print will be on show at this year’s Ipex, in the form of EFI’s SmartSign Analytics. The system integrates a webcam into the sign or wide-format print, which is connected to a computer or tablet running facial recognition capabilities that can detect details of the people within viewing range. EFI’s proprietary software organises the data, providing the analytics and reports so that full demographic information can be generated.

Advanced productivity is the key focus for EFI at Ipex 2014, with the company’s productivity software and its relevance in print environments the main area of concentration. The primary products being demonstrated include PrintSmith Vision, Pace, Monarch, Radius, and Metrix, plus Fiery ProServer and Digital StoreFront. There will also be a full application wall showing the types of output that can be produced using wide-format, VUTEk, Jetrion and Cretaprint devices.

“Efficient MIS includes financial, CRM, and sales management, with full shop floor data collection, purchasing and inventory management, plus business analysis and reporting. Automation of these tasks brings speed advantages along with the simplification of time-consuming activities, with accurate accountability making it easier to generate more profits.”

Epson

Epson will feature its SureColor SC-F and SC-S series as the manufacturer looks to showcase how its printers can be used for signage, interior design and textile printing. The company will also demonstrate its label engines with white ink capability.

Three 1.6m (64") printers from the SC-S range will be present, as well as the 1.2m (44") and 1.6m (64") SureColor SC-F dye-sublimationmachines. Epson's first machine manufactured completely in-house, the SC-F2000 direct-to-garment T-shirt printer, will also feature, as will the L-4033AW, a 'high-quality' label engine for short runs, especially on clear and metallic substrates.

 

Goss

Goss will showcase systems dedicated to meeting the needs today's printers by maximising productivity while minimising costs, waste and downtime, in line with industry and environmental objectives.

Across the application range, Goss core technologies allow printers, publishers and converters to create production models that achieve the most flexible and intelligent print offering for today's fast-changing markets. Goss will demonstrate how its systems and hybrid configurations can equip print providers to adapt to new challenges.

 

Hans Gronhi

One of the few opportunities to see offset presses at the show, the company's stand will feature two five colour presses representing the latest in offset technology. The Shinohara 75IV is a five colour B2 machine which will be shown with an optional coating unit. From the Hans Gronhi 52cm range, it will be showing the GH525 five colour featuring the latest 'closed loop' on-the-run colour correction technology. The GH series has undergone a restyling and this machine will be the first to feature new livery. Both of these presses have the latest automated features to deliver reliable quality and exceptional productivity to the commercial sector.

                                         

Komori

The Lithrone G-540, 5 colour 72 x 103 cm press with coater, to be exhibited at the Ipex Eco Zone will be demonstrating the green efficiency of the Komori innovative and exclusive H-UV drying technology, which offers all printers the benefits of an instant drying for a protected environment and an outstanding printing quality.

 

Konica Minolta

Expect product and services news announcements, which will include latest details on KM-1, the B2 cut-sheet inkjet press. Outside of traditional printing, packaging and book publishing, newer applications will cover labels and packaging. Marketing automation, cross media, colour management and managed print services will also be a key focus, as will sustainability. All underpin Konica Minolta’s strategy to shape long-lasting business partnerships through providing services for customers across all platforms.

 

MGI

MGI Digital Graphic Technology will be showcasing its entire line of digital printing and finishing solutions at Ipex. As one of the largest exhibitors with a booth of over 336 sqm, MGI will be hosting over 50 of its international distributors from around the world. The main attraction, however, is set to be the six new production solutions that will be previewed for the first time ever during the show.

MGI's latest generation digital presses will demonstrate that quality, productivity and true added value co-exist in complete harmony with a perfect combination of printable substrates flexibility and unique format sizes.  MGI will unveil for the first time ever a new range of equipment for 3D embellishment that will cover from everything from smaller digital printing formats all the way up to large offset press formats.

 

OKI

OKI Systems  promises a number of industry firsts including a five-colour printer that prints the full range of process colours plus a fifth spot colour – white or clear gloss. With the addition of an EFI Fiery XF server, printers can gain colour matching accuracy through advanced colour management including spot and process colours, optimising the colour depth and print quality needed in the graphic arts industry. The company's proprietary digital LED technology enables users to print on a complete range of media from A6 to SRA3, banners up to 1.3m and weights of up to 360gsm.

 

Optimus

Optimus will be showcasing Optimus dash, the award winning Management Information System designed specifically to cater for all methods of Digital, Litho, Screen and Specialist Print Production.

Visitors will also view for the very first time: Optimus Job Ganging which can help to generate even greater efficiencies and savings, as well as dash ISO 12467 Colour Management templates.

Optimus, with renowned Lean Manufacturing experience has ensured that at the heart of Optimus dash the focus remains on eliminating waste, whether as a key stroke or as unnecessary processes which print buyers will not pay extra for.

 

Plockmatic

Plockmatic International, Morgana's parent company, will also be represented at Ipex on the Morgana Systems booth. As well as the wide range of booklet making systems sold under the Morgana and Plockmatic brands, the company will also be demonstrating the PL 4000 Direct Mail Inserter. This versatile and modular mailing system can handle complex mixed format inserting of a wide range of materials – including booklets – and is capable of up to 200,000 units per month.

 

Scodix

Scodix will be exhibiting the new Scodix Ultra digital enhancement press, which prints up to B2+ size sheet format 545 x 788mm and is designed for a variety of applications including general commercial and packaging, web-to-print and VDP applications.

It produces high print quality due to the Scodix RSP Technology (rotate, scale, position) using CCD camera system, to allow image-to-image registration. Scodix Twin-Tray Technology, UV Fixed-Array ensures high productivity. Efficiency is also ensured due to the automatic CCD camera positioning and automatic maintenance. Other features include Scodix SENSE, Scodix High Impact, Scodix Variable Densities and Scodix 99 GU.

 

Screen

Screen Europe showcases its innovative Print On Demand inkjet presses, including the highly successful Truepress Jet520 – the world's most successful high-speed, single-pass colour inkjet printer – and the innovative new Truepress Jet L350UV digital label press. The Truepress Jet520 prints on rolls of inkjet paper, standard paper and uncoated paper up to 520mm wide. Its top printing speed of 220 metres per minute enables fast turnarounds and efficient production of high print volumes. The press is ideal for on-demand production of books, direct mail, newspapers and transactional printing and these will be shown on the booth.

 

Sitma

Sitma will show its WM30 wrapper, which it says is the ideal solution to wrap a wide range of documents in paper. This solution creates envelopes with dimensions from C6/5 up to C4, with a mechanical speed of up to 30000 cycles per hour. Paper, to be converted to an envelope, can be utilised with or without windows and with straight or V-shaped edges. The system provides various chip-out capabilities to remove a fixed or variable size to accommodate a full color print bleed.

                                         

Xeikon

Xeikon NV is an innovator in digital printing technology. The company designs, develops and delivers web-fed digital color presses for labels and packaging applications, document printing, as well as commercial printing. These presses utilise LED-array-based dry toner electrophotography, open workflow software and application-specific toners.
