IPP and Dataform team up for service

Dataform Paper Processing Australia recently signed a service partnership agreement with Intergrafica Print & Pack (IPP) whereby IPP will provide engineering and maintenance services to all Dataform customers in Australia.

Dataform Paper Processing Australia is the sole agent in Australia and New Zealand for Kern AG Switzerland, manufacturers of high-speed mail inserting equipment. The company commenced local operations in July 2002 operating as a subsidiary of Dataform Paper Processing GmbH based in Grossebersdorf, Austria. Since establishing itself in the Australian mail inserting market, it has secured its first local customer, Ligare Book Printer.

Max Jaeger, Dataform Australia director, says, “When we started operating here in 2002, the challenge was to break into an established market without having the infrastructure or an installed base. We have now achieved that goal and this new arrangement with IPP will further consolidate our position as a viable alternative to existing mail inserting equipment suppliers.”

Kevin Gaffney, IPP Technical Services general manager, says, “We are very pleased to add to the portfolio of graphic arts equipment supported by our engineers. We have worked hard in recent months to enhance the delivery of our service solutions and this agreement with Dataform is testimony to the quality of our in-house expertise and service capabilities.”

The new arrangement between Dataform and IPP will also highlight potential synergies between Dataform’s high-speed envelope inserting solutions and the Hunkeler range of pre- and post press document processing equipment supplied by IPP. Hunkeler is Dataform’s preferred supplier for pre- and post press equipment used in conjunction with its envelope inserting systems and, where the need arises for such equipment, Dataform and IPP will work together co-operatively to deliver cost effective, tailored solutions to customers.
Dataform Australia also plans to establish a showroom facility with IPP for demonstrating the latest mail inserting solutions and equipment.
