Marcus Tralau, chief executive of Kama, says, “Many print shops are keen to modernise their processing services and are looking for a solution which offers a rapid pay-back. Not everybody wishes to take their first steps in the print finishing market with a high-end machine.”
Kama expects the ProCut 74 SE to replace long-serving platen press and cylinders. It says the flat-bed die cutter can process up to 4500 sheets per hour, claiming that it out-performs the outgoing cylinder cutters by a factor of two to three with quick changeovers from one job to the next. Tralau says, “With the new basic die cutter, customers can reach the break-even point much more quickly than most would expect.
The company adds that, for the format 740X600mm, the ProCut 74SE processes paper weights from 100g to 1500g.
