Kayell and Nulab host photo workshops

Industry supplier Kayell is sponsoring a series of workshops for aspiring photographers which include a session from industry pioneer Michael Warshall on how to print and profit.

Split between a morning, afternoon, and evening session, the workshops will respectively cover lighting, packaging your photography product, and selling it, and are delivered through Kayell Australia and Nulab Group.

Michael Warshall, executive director, Nulab Group, will point out the financial benefit for attendees, “Anybody who is interested in making money from photography will benefit, as the evening sessions teaches them how to package their product, how to present it, and how to sell the photos.”

Robert Gatto, managing director, Kayell Australia, says, “It’s about learning how to craft beautiful photos in the hardest conditions.”

“In the lighting component we teach people not to be afraid of midday sun while using off camera flash. It is about balancing daylight, using the sun as a fill light and using the flash as the main light.”

Gatto adds, “These events usually sell out in a few hours. It’s great we are able to get to Perth and Adelaide too, we tried to make it as national as possible.”

The workshops will take place across the country:

Melbourne: March 1, Nulab, Braeside, Victoria

Sydney: March 2, Moore Park Golf, Centennial Parklands, Sydney

Brisbane: March 20, Queensland Museum, South Bank, Brisbane

Adelaide: March 27, Rydges South Park, Adelaide

Perth: March 29, Team Digital, Perth
