Kayell becomes PSO partner of Fogra

Obtaining PSO certification in Australia has gained increased importance
ever since the LIA and PIAA announced that ISO 12647-2 will be adopted as the
new industry standard.

According to Robert Gatto, sales and marketing director, Kayell
Australia, becoming a partner of Fogra for PSO certification will be a good fit
with Kayell's ISO certified product range. Gatto says, "For several years
Kayell has supplied industry leading products that comply with ISO standards
for monitors, lighting, file separation and contract proofing. Along with our
new press optimisation products from GMG, our partnership with Fogra will
complete our ISO compliant offerings and push Kayell to the forefront of ISO
compliance in Australia. Very few companies can match the total ISO solution
that we can now offer."

Kayell Australia says its comprehensive product
portfolio covers everything printers need to gain ProcessStandard Offset ISO
12647-2 certification and includes:

* X-Rite – Suppliers of industry leading profiling instruments for the
calibration of CTP, monitors, proofing and printing systems.

* Eizo Monitors – Specialised monitors for the graphic arts and
printing professionals.

* Epson Stylus Pro – Epson's range of professional large format
printers.

Press
optimisation software tools, PrintControlPro and RapidCheck.

In order for print and media companies to gain PSO certification an
industry certified trainer must be present on site to evaluate and refine each
step in the production cycle. Gatto says attaining PSO – ISO 12647-2 is
an excellent marketing instrument for these companies to demonstrate their
quality to the outside world. He says, "The PSO defined production process will
create a reproducible quality standard from correct file separation to the
final printed product, resulting in fewer errors and smoother production. From
the client's perspective, customers can be sure that a PSO certified company
can reliably produce print to the highest levels in the industry time and time
again."
