Kevin Rudd to speak at PANPA08

The PM is expected to address the hot industry topic of Freedom of Information and discuss the importance of world’s best practice for environmental management by the newspaper industry.

It is the first time a Prime Minister has opened a PANPA (Pacific Area Newspaper Publishers Association) conference in the association’s 39-year history. Mr Rudd heads a list of impressive speakers, including senior executives from News Corp, Fairfax Media, APN, The New York Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The World Association of Newspapers, KPMG, Telstra, Norkse Skog, ATEX, IFRA… and many, many more.

PANPA08 will be holding hands-on, practical workshops on: Modern Newspaper Design – from the world-leading guru, Mario Garcia; Building Community – Practical Steps from Editors of Regional and Local Newspapers; Worker Safety Obligations, and many more.
