Kiwi ingenuity leads the way

The LaserMounter is a new cost effective method for quickly mounting flexo and letterpress plates via tried and true video techniques. This is the new way to quality and productivity, improved process costs, reduced capital equipment cost.

Improved versatility overcomes the timeloss problem of initially
locating the registration marks (be they microdots, crosses or whatever registration medium) you use with or without the aid of video camera(s). Whether it is direct to cylinder, sleeve, polyester or table etc, the process of registering is now faster, less problematic and an ergonomic improvement on other offerings. Using 90x to 150x plus magnification is a breeze, no longer do you need to suffer the inaccuracy of 90x and lower.

Machines (label, narrow web and wide web) come standard with two lasers and two cameras, multiples are easily added particularly where more than one plate across is mounted (ie if front and back printing [turnaround] is practiced). No gears, dividing head locks cylinder positions.

BenchTop Models (LaserMounter BT) up to 800mm cylinder face width, FreeStanding Models (LaserMounter FS) from 700mm face width upwards.

As well as speeding up the alignment process, a by product of the laser is increased visual contrast of the registration mark. Ambient lighting is also less critical.
