Kodak debuts Nexpress SE range in ANZ market

The first product to become available is the SE3600 press, which the company has claimed is the “only sheetfed digital production colour press to offer unconstrained 3,600 A3-plus sheets per hour, 120ppm performance”.

One of the new features of the press is an Intelligent Calibration System (ICS), which allows the press operator to automate the process of ensuring uniformity of printed output by using a Kodak i1220 scanner.

The press also has a green appeal, with the system said to use recyclable components, parts and packaging, ‘de-inkable’ output, and dry inks that don’t emit volatile organic compounds.

Steve Ford, business development manager for digital print solutions at Kodak Australia and New Zealand, said: “This is a game-changing digital press that outpaces the competition and leverages new Kodak innovations in image quality, dry inks, and software to deliver superior offset class output.”
