Kodak GCG announces consumables price increase

Kodak is attributing the increases to “consistently rising energy and raw material costs”,

The increases are understood to affect digital and conventional offset printing plates, proofing media, film and chemistry and will be implemented after May 1.

“Over the past year, Kodak has been absorbing unrelenting increases in the costs of raw materials used to manufacture film, including silver and petrochemicals,” says Kodak in a statement. “These pressures have reached a point where they can no longer be offset by Kodak’s ongoing productivity programmes.”

Kodak competitor, Agfa Gevaert announced similar price increases in February.
