At her farewell, Konica Minolta Australia managing director Yohei Konaka said, “On behalf of Konica Minolta, the industry, customers, clients, and everyone in attendance here, I think you very much for your contribution.

“We wish you all the best in your future and we will miss you dearly.”

Konica Minolta Australia COO and executive director David Procter said Threlfo has shown energy and passion in her experience working in the US, Singapore and Australia.

“Many of us are jealous of the amazing relationships that Sue has built with the customers. Bringing Sue into the business has brought relationships with customers to a level that we couldn’t achieve before,” he said.

“This PacPrint is a celebration of Sue in our industry. She will be missed and her shoes will be very hard to fill.”

Threlfo looked back at her career and the time she spent in the industry.

“I’ve had an amazing career. I look at the faces of people in the industry and the ones that I truely enjoy being around and respect, and it’s not hard to say that for me, it’s been about the people and not the industry. That’s what makes it fun,” she said.

“I have loved almost every minute of my 33 years and I’ve created many fond memories. When I joined Konica Minolta Australia, I didn’t expect I’d find another home that I felt so happy in. The people, the culture, the customers and our service team have all been wonderful.

“So many people will remain friends and I thank everyone for all your support throughout the years.”

Andrew Cocker has been promoted to the role of general manager, production and industrial print, following Threlfo’s retirement.
