Konica Minolta GM confirms executive search for industrial print specialist

Konica Minolta has shared the key criteria and skills required for an important role in its industrial print team.

Konica Minolta general manager of production and industrial print, Andrew Cocker, confirmed he is currently recruiting for an important sales role that will cover the southern states of Australia.

“Ideally this candidate will have an understanding of the offset print environment, the migration from offset to digital printing, as well as strong knowledge of the flexible packaging category including embellishment and foiling,” Cocker said.

“In my mind this is not just an account manager role, but one that is consultative, customer thought provoking and encouraging a change in the customer mindset, with the ability to lead change and perform at all levels of customer engagement, from MD/CEO/CFO through to production managers.”

According to Cocker, the ideal candidate will be someone who is “experienced and driven and who can maximise sales opportunities whilst continually developing Konica Minolta’s market exposure within the industrial print sector.

“We are looking for individuals who live for the next big challenge. We seek to employ the brightest and most forward-thinking talent.”

In consultation with key stakeholders, the primary accountabilities are to:

  • Drive market share and growth through existing customers and new business in the industrial print markets
  • Drive sales and manage internal processes from pre-sales to delivery to ensure success and achievement of targets.
  • Provide timely and accurate completion of business plans, forecasts, internal order processes and customer management.
  • Develop and maintain your knowledge of the Konica Minolta offering and the vertical industries of your nominated accounts.
  • Maintain & regularly update CRM.
  • Achieve the revenue target set out for your area/portfolio.
  • Be an active member of the national industrial print focussed team – helping to drive innovation, continue the development of a high performance culture and contribute to the achievement of the business goals.
  • Exemplify company values and adhere to policies and procedures.

Ideally the right candidate skills will comprise of the following:

  • Previous sales experience 5+ years (ideally in the print industry).
  • Proven ability to create customer value through investigation of customer needs and objectives, delivering the sale of relevant and focussed solutions and services.
  • Proven ability to develop account strategy, write and execute business plans.
  • Proven business development experience.
  • Proficiency with CRM applications.
  • Exposure to sales training methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to monitor performance against deadlines and milestones.
  • Australian driver’s license.
