Konica Minolta signs deal with FileBound

Lee Bourke, CEO of FileBound, told Australian Printer, “I’m excited about working with a great brand like Konica Minolta which has a good strategic objective concentrating on business process automation.”

The partnership is in line with Konica Minolta’s core strategy to boost its integrated software services, combining print management and document workflow solutions.

Chris Goult, head of product marketing at Konica Minolta, says, “Konica Minolta’s partnership with FileBound is an important step in providing our customers with sophisticated integrated business solutions and helping them optimise their MFD usage. Content management and workflow software solutions are the future of business because they maximise productivity and efficiency.

“Working together, Konica Minolta and FileBound will allow customers to file, store, share, retrieve, secure, archive and audit all critical documents. Automating and streamlining essential processes is not reserved for large corporations, it is becoming the norm for businesses of all sizes.”

According to Goult, smaller to medium sized businesses have historically invested more in hardware than in solutions for workflow, considering it an area for large IT departments and not necessarily being aware of the relevance to their business.

Goult concludes, “In the long term, companies benefit most from employing MFDs to automate the capture of information, and then integrating the capture of this information with better electronic content management across the company. Electronic content management and optimised document management is the way of the future for business. We are pleased to be working alongside FileBound, who have an outstanding reputation, to offer the best to our customers.”
