Grant Thomas, product marketing manager – production print, Konica Minolta says, “With digital print customers demanding more versatility the Plockmatic is designed to produce benchmark booklet quality on a large range of media thickness and types. Konica Minolta is excited to expand its finishing capabilities on the production print colour and monochrome print systems.

“The Plockmatic SD-500 and SD-350 combines the ability to produce finished booklets while maintaining high performance and leading productivity matched perfectly to Konica Minolta print systems.”

A key differentiator is that the SD-350 can be upgraded in the field to the higher capacity SD-500 model so that as commercial printer demands grow so can their capabilities.

Both finishing systems come with the latest colour graphical user interface that guides operators through job set up.

Konica Minolta says the systems complement its existing saddle stitch finishing systems, with added capabilities and features while the SD-500 enables up to 50 sheets to be produced in a finished booklet system.

It is available on the bizhub presses C1085/C1100 and 1052e/1250e/1250eP.
