Mark Andy claims the P5 exhibits the fastest makeready times in the industry – a four-colour setup can be completed in just three minutes. The company adds that a minimal amount of ink required for production runs, as well as very short web paths can reduce material waste by up to 50 per cent, giving converters that efficient, lean edge.
Ian Guanaria, general manager of Aldus Engineering – the ANZ distributor for Mark Andy – says, “Three of the previous Performance Series presses, the P7, were sold in the region within an extremely short period of time following its launch. The P5 is the next in the series and with its short web pass we expect its sales to follow suit.”
The P5 features a self-positioning doctor blade setup, load and lock inking system, easy-to-operate controls and wide open access to the print deck and plate rolls make this press simple for any operator, regardless of skill level, according to Mark Andy.
Jeff Feltz, product manager, Mark Andy says, “The first model of the series, the multiple servo P7, is our higher-end solution for complex applications. We are excited to offer the same, savvy print station and flexible frame design in the P5, a machine for the everyday converter looking to achieve servo-driven productivity and high quality levels, at an extremely appealing value.”
