Media Super Yearbook out now

Media Super has released its 2014 Yearbook, keeping its members up to date with the fund’s financial performance and what is happening in its community.

The superannuation company, which is the default fund for printing industry workers, generated investment returns of 11.1 per cent for FY2014 on its most popular balanced investment option.

The online yearbook includes financial statements, five superannuation tips for members in each stage of their life, how super contributions are being invested, and an honour roll listing all winners of the National Print Awards, PICAs, ProPrint Power 50, and many other awards it sponsors.

Its community section profiles two printers, and interviews 22-year-old Tasmanian offset printer John Billett, who won the Media Super Future Leader Award at the NPA, and says print will survive well into the future.

PIAA president David Leach and chief executive Bill Healey are interviewed for a segment of the Media Quarterly video, looking at what is happening in the changing world of print.

Media Super communications and marketing general manager Joel Clapham says the yearbook website has been well received and views are 10 times bigger than last year, which only had a pdf download of the print book, at 3000 in 10 days. Printed copies are available on request.

“Our history over 27 years of being a key partner with associations, employers and staff, is something we’re proud of and strengthening all the time,” he says.

“The Yearbook is a wonderful way for everyone to share the stories and achievements of their fellow members, as well as get an insight into the developments the fund has introduced in the past year.”
