Melbourne business upgrades with Epson

Recently acquired Dinkums Print and Design has installed Epson’s SureColor SC-T7200D to bolster its position.

The Melbourne business was established in 1993 but was purchased by owner John Wilson one year ago, moving on from his role in sales and marketing.

Wilson is a tenderfoot to the printing industry after working in the corporate world for some time, and bought Dinkums in a bid to ‘do his own thing’.

After buying the Carlton based printer twelve months ago, Wilson replaced all old machinery with digital printers, and Epson’s new machine is his latest investment.

The Epson SureColor was purchased to replace two older wide format printers, and Wilson says he needed to consolidate wide format printing to ‘one high quality, scan capable multi-function device’.

Wilson also says he was ‘initially worried’ centralising wide format to one machine would slow down production, however it churns out print jobs with no compromise.

According to Epson, the SureColor machines are ideal for printing maps, plans, drawings, schematics, sales presentations, posters and displays.

Dinkums is an independent printing and design service located on the edge of Melbourne’s CBD and offers a range of services to the print industry including printing, copying, binding, cutting, foam core mounting.
