Mimaki Australia has signed a distribution agreement with Shann Australia, effective April 1, 2025.

Shann is an Australian-owned business that has been supplying a diverse range of industries for more than 60 years.

Jason Hay, national sales manager at Mimaki Australia said, “Shann is highly regarded by top customers for its 3.2–5M wide printing media. As an innovative leader in the Australian market, Shann has introduced high-performance media brands such as Drytac, Heytex, and Beaver Paper. With a team of knowledgeable professionals across Australia, we are confident that, together, we can provide our customers with the best possible solutions”.

Starting April 1, 2025, Mimaki will leverage Shann’s extensive distribution network to expand the availability of Mimaki products across Australia, ensuring a broader market reach and enhanced customer support.

Kohei Kobayashi, managing director of Mimaki Australia, said the partnership marks a significant step forward in strengthening Mimaki’s presence in Australia.

“We look forward to continuing our commitment to delivering high-quality printing solutions through Shann’s nationwide network”.

Last month Mimaki also announced the appointment of Australian DTF Servicing as a new authorised service agent in Brisbane. According to the company, the “strategic addition” of Australian DTF Servicing strengthens its service network in Australia.
