Minuteman North Lakes installs first PHE Crease-fold

Paper Handling Equipment has installed the first machine of its new PHE 5375BF11 Crease-fold range at Minuteman Press North Lakes near Brisbane.

Owner Peter Powlesland says the Crease-fold replaces two separate machines, one for folding and one for creasing, which has streamlined the business’s finishing process.

He says, “The fact that it could do both creasing and folding and allows for stock up to 400 gsm was a major selling point. Also it being fully programmable was a notable feature.”

Since having the Crease-fold installed in late May, Powlesland says the machine has significantly reduced a bottle-neck within the business’s finishing process.

“It has cut down time we have to spend on creasing and folding, overall it has improved our work turnaround time,” he says.

The PHE Crease-fold can be used for many applications in the digital print market to ensure no cracking of heavy weight stocks. It can be used for book covers, heavy weight flyers, perforating jobs and also crease only jobs.

The Crease-fold also comes with added features including a paper jam detector, QWERTY keyboard for naming programs and double touch screen control.
