CityWest Print & Office Supplies, a business with a 19-year history, has undergone a transformation into a Minuteman Press franchise in Adelaide, South Australia.

Former owner, Peter Tabe sold the business to Minuteman Press franchisees Mehul Sanghvi and Sachin Desai.

The new Minuteman Press continues to operate from Unit 1, 282 Gouger Street, Adelaide.

Reflecting on the sale, Peter Tabe shared his experience of the process, stating that he was introduced to Minuteman Press Regional VP Glenn Coyle through Fujifilm.

Tabe opted for a direct sale without involving a selling agent, finding the process more straightforward and cost-effective. He engaged his own lawyer for legal aspects but appreciated having Glenn Coyle as a conduit between himself and the purchasers, ensuring a smooth transition.

“The sale process went smoothly, and I have been happy to remain in contact over the ensuing months to assist the purchasers and my staff, who remained onboard,’ said Tabe.

Post-acquisition, Mehul Sanghvi said the support for store set-up and in-store training received from Minuteman Press International was beyond his expectations. The unique setup, involving both a print store and an office supplies division, was successfully managed with the help of the field representative and the Minuteman Press team.

“It was an absolute joy to work with Minuteman Press on the sale. They made the process so easy and were with us in every part of the process,” said Sanghvi.

CityWest Print & Office Supplies started life as a Copyfax Stationers franchise in 2004. Over the years, the business evolved, focusing more on printing services in collaboration with Fujifilm, HP, and CMYK Hub. By 2019, it was known as CityWest Print & Office Supplies, with a substantial portion of its turnover coming from print-related services.

Mehul Sanghvi discussed the strategic decision to acquire CityWest, citing its longevity and loyal client base, both of which allowed them to seamlessly integrate into the printing business, with orders flowing in on day one.

“The major reason we chose to buy CityWest is that we knew we were buying a well-established business,” said Sanghvi.

Transitioning into the Minuteman Press franchise, Mehul Sanghvi highlighted three key reasons for choosing Minuteman Press: its status as the world’s largest print franchise, the unlimited revenue potential through various streams, and the exceptional support provided during the purchasing process by Glenn Coyle.
