The biodegradable packaging, which will be used initially for IQ Triotec, Bio Top 3, Nautilus and Nautilus SuperWhite, is manufactured from renewable materials.
This packaging biodegrades completely within a maximum of 180 days in both domestic and industrial composting.
To be labelled fully biodegradable and compostable, the packaging materials must undergo strict testing by approved laboratories and then be certified by independent bodies.
The packaging corresponds to both European (EN13432:200) and US (ASTM D6400-99) standards and also provides optimum climate protection for high-quality business papers.
Thanks to Mondi’s commitment to the environment, various other products in addition to IQ appeal (which has already been certified) have been FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) approved.
Mondi has now received FSC certification for IQ selection smooth and IQ Triotec premium, as well as for the new products Maestro supreme, Maestro Triotec extra and Maestro bulky.
The Forest Stewardship Council is an independent global organisation whose label is a guarantee of fine quality. FSC certification ensures that the raw materials used stem from sustainable forests.
Mondi says its CleverGrip foam handle is setting new standards in carrying comfort for users of IQ selection smooth and IQ Triotec premium.
Maestro, a high-quality business paper from Mondi, has been revised with a new brand identity. The Maestro product range has been expanded to include Maestro supreme, Maestro bulky, Maestro inkjet and Maestro Triotec TCF.
• The Maestro supreme assortment covers weights from 60gsm to 280gsm in A4, A3 and folio formats. Its Maestro quality combines excellent runnability with high opacity.
• Maestro bulky is a high-volume paper. Its high opacity prevents see-through and underlines the high quality of this product, which is also ideally suited for duplex printing and high print runs.
• Maestro inkjet is intended for black-and-white and light ink applications. Its resealable transparent packaging provides optimum protection right down to the very last sheet.
• Maestro Triotec TCF is manufactured using the Triotec production method developed by Mondi and comprises three different layers of totally chlorine free fibres making the sheet environmentally friendly as well as highly stable and extremely opaque.
• Maestro colour – the colourful paper – now offers 34 instead of 20 colours ranging from soft pastel shades to trend, intense and neon colours. The 120gsm and 160gsm weights were recently also added to the series.
