New Canon light production model promises faster speeds

The ImageRunner Advance C9200 Pro can hit speeds of 80 pages per minute in mono and 70ppm in colour. Toner and media can be replenished during production, and the printer can be used 31 seconds after power-up, according to Canon.

The C9200 Pro comes with features such as image capture, user interface personalisation, usage tracking and access control, mobile and cloud connectivity and a server-less log-in. It also includes the latest EFI controller with a choice of two Fiery-powered RIPs, said Canon.

Printers can expect "faster black-and-white print speeds, shorter warm-up times, more standard system features, improved finishing options and greater energy efficiency" than the first-generation system.

The C9200 Pro also contains "new capabilities to further enhance the user experience, streamline document workflows and merge technologies together to optimise business processes".

The assistant general manager of Canon Business Services Australia, Jeremy Plint, said the C9200 Pro produces "almost negligible" carbon emissions.

"Work environments have evolved quite dramatically in recent years, fundamentally changing the technological landscape and the way we work," he said.

"Canon is addressing the need for businesses to streamline their workflows and optimise processes with world class technology designed to provide greater efficiencies and productivity."
