New CTP from Krause

LaserStar Edition works by moving the exposure bridge across the registered plate using linear drives. The system is controlled by the touch screen SPS panel, which is integrated onto the moving exposure head”

Krause says the LaserStar Edition assures accuracy because prepunched plates can be loaded onto register pins for exact positioning, and the system’s granite bed construction has been built to withstand vibration and temperature changes.

Krause favours violet laser technology, which is capable of exposing both silver and polymer plates, because it has a long lifetime of 10,000 hours (240,000 plates). It rarely needs replacing and if it does, then it is inexpensive. These factors make violet an extremely affordable CTP option with the best price performance ratio.

Krause also launched Imposition Manager KIM JDF for Creo Prinergy KIM JDF is the high-end imposition solution for the preparation of templates for the Creo Prinergy Workflow. Krause says it improves the printers day to day works on preparing imposition schemes with Krause KIM especially for complicated layouts and finishing jobs. The output via JDF interface into the Creo Prinergy workflow allows printers to use the high-end imposition program with the most comprehensive features for VLF and WEB imposition schemes available on the market.
