NSW PICA deadline approaching

Printing Industries Australia is calling for submissions for the NSW Printing Industries Craftsmanship Awards (PICA), with the September 23 deadline approaching in two weeks’ time.

The competition includes four business categories as well as the 33 print awards, plus the Future Leaders Award for outstanding employees under 30 years old.

Bill Healey, CEO of Printing Industries, says companies should particularly consider the potential benefits of the business section. He says, “We have awards covering all facets of business operations including innovation, education and training, the environment and OH&S – all of which companies have been putting a major effort into doing but very few traditionally consider as creating competitive edge. Winning an award in a business category, as with the print awards, is a competitive edge worth having.”

Healey says the judges recommend entrants check the presentation of the entry as well as the print or print finishing before submission, and supply duplicate copies where possible, and consider entering the same entry in more than one category to increase the chances of winning.

Entries must be submitted by close of business Friday September 23. Entry forms and brochures can be downloaded from the Printing Industries website.
