NZ printers stand proud

Presented at PacPrint   unfortunately in a somewhat obscure location toward the end of the Exhibition Centre’s concourse   the range of world-standard winning entries should be a must-see stop for every PacPrint visitor.

Demonstrating this global standard is a Logic Print produced entry by Auckland Jewelry specialist, Rox Box, a 2008 Gold winner whose current year Bronze has led to a special mention award at the European PENT awards which, according to PIP organiser, Sue Archibold, has resulted in outstanding feedback and potential business for the entrant.

Among startling examples in the Supreme Awards section are a New Zealand Game Bird Habitat brochure produced by Southern Colour Print, Amcor’s packaging for Cadbury Chocolates and a Venus Von Millendorf Motion stamp produced by Outer Aspect Ltd, reflecting a modern melding of imagination, creativity and technology.

Sue Archibold stressed that, unlike other print awards, PIP can include more than one Gold award in any one category, demonstrating beyond doubt that the NZ printing industry has reached and indeed exceeded the Gold Standard.
