Océ innovations snapped up

The Océ Varioprint 2110 and the Océ Varioprint 2090 were released in September 2004 but have already appeared on the floors of 20 Snap outlets. Snap Printing Ultimo was Oc’s first customer for the new systems, installing four Océ VP2110 within hours of their arrival in Australia. Snap Printing Bankstown installed the first Océ VP2090.

The new systems are the successor to Oc’s highly successful Océ 3165, more than 100 of which were installed in Snap outlets and most of which are still running. Some Océ 3165 machines have printed more than 10 million prints and Océ reports strong interest among Snap outlets for the new systems.

Among their many features are the ability to print on a wider range of stocks and to utilise different stocks on the same job, automatically printing and inserting different media, eliminating time-consuming hand finishing and setting new quality printing standards.

September also marked the release of the Océ CPS900 colour digital printing system, which has also attracted strong interest among franchisees, with its near-offset colour product. Snap Ultimo was also one of Oc’s first Australian customers for the colour system.

Snap commemorated the growing partnership with Océ with a presentation of a Gold Partner certificate to Océ during the recent Snap Awards dinners.
