Océ reveals new products at IPEX

The company also revealed expanded colour range for its wide format printers, a super-speedy continuous feed system and the VarioPrint 6250

Chief Executive Rokus van Iperen claims the VarioPrint 6250 is the world’s fastest duplex printer.

The Océ CEO claimed this kind of innovation was just the beginning, with plans to allot more than US$260 million to Océ’s research and development budget for 2006.

Innovation is a major key in a printer market that is increasingly maturing. Imaging companies must offer more than just hardware and supplies to make money; they have to offer specialised services and technology.

Despite being somewhat under the radar in the US., Océ enjoys a reputation for high quality and reliability. van Iperen is clearly making eyes at the US document management market.
