PaperlinX selects IBS software for Europe

The agreement covers the terms and conditions for software installations of IBS’s new software solution for the paper and packaging industry, IBS Paper, for 4000 users in 18 European countries.

IBS CEO Magnus Wastenson, says the agreement with PaperlinX shows the strength of IBS’s offering to international groups in the paper and packaging industry.

“By offering a combination of sector specific software and a strong network we can make fast and cost efficient international implementations that improve our customer’s profitability and customer service,” says Wastenson. “The strategic partnership with PaperlinX holds the potential of becoming the largest world wide installation of IBS software so far.”

PaperlinX Group CIO David Walker says his management team undertook a nine month evaluation of the IBS Enterprise software before making the decision.

“We) were very impressed with system and its industry specific functionality, tailored for the paper industry,” says Walker.

PaperlinX plans to streamline operations and consolidate the different ERP-systems used in the Group today to one ERP-system, IBS Enterprise. The roll-out will begin with a pilot installation later this year.

The IBS Paper solution covers CRM and sales order management, distribution and warehousing, planning and forecasting, SRM and procurement, financial management, business intelligence and performance measurement.

As the European roll-out is progressing, PaperlinX will evaluate the installed solution and decide on installations in other PaperlinX units in Asia and North America.
