Parts Overnight, based on the Gold Coast and claiming to be “Australia’s largest independent printer spare parts and accessories distributor”, said it would retain PT Store’s key personnel.

Operations manager Ian Parsonson told ProPrint: “All staff – except previous owners and family – have been retained with a further appointment of an additional sales employee previously with Parts Overnight.”

“We will continue to operate PT Store as a separate company but will add some staff and stock at our Gold Coast office,” he added.

The acquisition takes the group’s headcount above 30 staff and pushes turnover into excess of $10m.

Parsonson said the company had moved into new, larger premises in Underwood, Brisbane, so PT Store could increase its stocks and echo its new parent’s “overnight” philosophy to service.

“We will also be increasing our spare parts holdings for wide-format products across the HP and other ranges to ensure timely and professional repairs within our service offerings,” said Parsonson.

Parts Overnight is also an authorised distributor for Lexmark, Epson, Canon, Fuji Xerox and small-format HP kit. It offers a spares service nationwide and has a service business catering for printers in the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, and surrounding areas.

PT Store services and supports technical and signage industry clients throughout Queensland and northern NSW.
