Penfold acquires Kwik Kopy Darling Harbour

Matthew Penfold, fifth generation member of the famous Penfold printing family has acquired Kwik Kopy Darling Harbour in a bid to keep the Penfold name alive in Sydney.

The illustrious Penfold family’s print history dates back to 1830 when founder William Penfold began WC Penfold, a stationery business with book binding, engraving and copper plate printing in Australia’s early colony.

The 186-year old company now continues to supply stationery and paper with head offices in Eastern Creek.

Matthew Penfold, who is also a Kwik Kopy Board Member, purchased the Darling Harbour franchise with the aim to ‘re-energise’ local business.

Penfold began his tenure with Kwik Kopy Canada in 1992 as a training manager before returning to Sydney as chief operating officer until 1997.

A relaunch party to celebrate the acquisition is slated for Wednesday June 15 at the Dr. Chau Chak Wing Building at the University of Technology Sydney.

The event will officially announce the change in ownership and will host some 100 influential print media, marketing, IT and SME business professionals.
