COVID-19 has forced the 2020 Printing Industry Creativity Awards (PICAs) online with this year’s state printing awards to be broadcast live on Facebook this coming Friday June 26 at 8pm (AEST).
The event will be hosted on the Print and Visual Communications Association Facebook page.
The PVCA is encouraging all printers to “join us for a golden hour of print to celebrate and announce the winners of the 2020 Printing Industry Creativity Awards”.
“Our live streamed awards will capture the spirit of the in person ceremonies and provide a night full of golden entertainment. Grab a glass of champagne, get comfy on the couch, and tune in to see all the familiar faces from your association,” the PVCA says.
The livestream will cover all five PICAs with the running order set down as: Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia/Northern Territory, Queensland and Western Australia.
Gold medal winners will go automatically into the the appropriate National Print Awards category.
The National Print Awards were scheduled to be held on July 31 but the date is now TBA due to the coronavirus pandemic.
