PlastGrommet to launch four new solutions at FESPA Global Print Expo

PlastGrommet will demonstrate the power of finishing automation at FESPA Global Print Expo next month in Berlin, including the launch of four brand new technologies.

Bringing banner finishing to entry-level, the All In One Edge will launch at the event. Offering the same integrated welding, eyeleting, and cutting capabilities as the flagship All In One banner finishing machine, the All In One Edge is aimed at medium-sized companies.

PlastGrommet will partner with digital printable media supplier SOYANG Europe and Fujifilm printing technology to showcase banner finishing automation throughout FESPA.

Utilising the All In One platform, PlastGrommet will launch new sewing automation capabilities for textile finishing with the TexWiz sewing module. By adding this new sewing module to the All In One, PlastGrommet will partner with printable textiles manufacturer PONGS and Durst printing technology to showcase how to automate the production of air mesh fabric banners during the event, integrating hem sewing, eyelet setting and cutting.

PlastGrommet will also be demonstrating the environmental benefits of textile banners throughout the event. For example, when paired with PlastGrommet’s proprietary clear plastic eyelets, polyester banner materials can be recycled with the eyelets still intact, removing the need for separation during the recycling process.

Another product launching at FESPA Berlin is the Winder360, designed to automatically rewind banners from the All In One, creating efficient workflow that ends with other products in PlastGrommet’s portfolio including the Evolve Welder, the Autocross automatic eyelet press, or the Finishing Station. Through integration with the All In One, the Winder360 reduces the time required to finish the short sides of banners by 50 per cent.

The fourth technology PlastGrommet will introduce at FESPA is a new media roll lifter for Jumbo rolls in the form of the JumboMAX 1,000kg. Building on PlastGrommet’s range of media roll lifters and media storage solutions, this new product enables large-format printers to easily move large rolls of media around the shop floor.

In addition to these new solutions, PlastGrommet will showcase a range of products for banner finishing, eyelet equipment and in-house manufactured proprietary clear plastic and metal eyelets, as well as media roll lifters, providing finishing and automation solutions for businesses of all sizes.

Rafa Menéndez, head of sales and marketing at PlastGrommet, said: “For wide-format print businesses, investing in automation is no longer a unique selling point, but absolutely necessary to remain competitive. At PlastGrommet, we are dedicated to developing solutions that enable our customers to streamline and automate their banner and textile finishing, a common bottleneck area that is often overlooked. We are very excited to be launching four brand new products at FESPA Berlin including the introduction of textile finishing capabilities, and we encourage visitors to head over to the PlastGrommet stand to speak to a member of our team or to see these technologies in action.”
