A 30 year veteran in the printing industry, Theo Prosenica, managing director, PMS Lithography hopes the new investment will lower his cost of production among other things. He says “I purchased the KBA Rapida 162a to upgrade from our current Roland 800 five-colour press. The Roland 800 has been a stable workhorse and is still in use. The KBA Rapida 162a will give us the advanced technology for shorter makeready times and less makeready sheets.”
PMS is a large format printer, with packaging and posters as a major part of its output. The company was founded in 1990 by Prosenica.
Prosenica says “The KBA Rapida gives us the productivity gains to compete in this competitive market. After one week of running the press we have found the press to be quick with great improvements in makeready times, reduced makeready sheets and its user friendly operations.”
Dave Lewis, general manager of sheet fed presses, KBA says “It’s a great move by Theo buying a large press which is a good sign he is doing well and is looking to capitalise on his investment.”
Prosenica believes the ability to react quickly to customer’s needs, listening to your client and offering solutions that compete with offshore suppliers, while always mindful of your operating cost is the key to succeeding in the printing industry.
