The Port Melbourne-based company, which runs an HP Indigo 3050, said that the investment would enable them to cut outsourcing costs and keep a closer eye on quality.
The machine was purchased through FAB Equipment, which said it had sold three Watkiss DFS automatic bookletmaking machines in Australia.
PressPrint director Kevin Stevens said growth over the past 12 months had enabled them to move into a new facility in Fishermans Bend, where the machine is installed and ready for action.
“We chose this solution because of its ability to finish highly varied weights of stock and doesn’t mark the HP Indigo printed work that we do,” he said.
“This machine also gives us the ability to have a bigger more flexible machine as we grow which we appreciate will come in very handy in the near future.”
