Prinect – Heidelberg’s digital solution

Heidelberg’s actual stand at PrintEX was more conservative, it did have a QM press on show, but also two SM52s, running with a bundled Polysetter CTP system. The aim of the stand was to show a typical A3 printshop in action, the theme was ’catch us if you can’ a challenge to show printers Heidelberg believes its equipment will set them at the front of the field. Emphasising its solutions approach There was a new Stitchexpert finishing line, which collated, folded, and stitched on one pass. Talk on the stand was of CTP, MetaDimension workflows and rip technology. The Polysetter is new, and complements Heidelberg’s thermal Topsetter and visible light Prosetter. The company has launched it as it wants to offer polyester plate printers its own solution.
