Print buyers ‘willing to pay’ for embellishment: LIA

A technical dinner in Sydney on 23 October will show printers how to capitalise on this growing appreciation for letterpress, embossing, debossing and foiling, said the LIA.

“The increase in demand [for embellishment] in Australia mirrors the growth in the USA, where there are now hundreds of ‘craft’ print shops servicing the industry,” said the LIA.

“This enhancement is often driven by graphic designers and print originators, who, in this era of digital print, are willing to pay for the additional value of the ‘handcrafted’ printed item.”

The dinner will feature speakers and samples from the Australian Graphic Design Association, Watermarx Graphics, The Distillery and Justus Magazine. A Q&A session will follow.

The event will be held at North Ryde RSL. Drinks will begin at 6.00pm followed by dinner at 6.30pm. Bookings close at midday on 19 October. Click here for more information.
