Printing Industries to co-ordinate PacPrint 09 forums

The co-ordination of the PacPrint Forums, which will run alongside the exhibition in Melbourne from May 26-30, will be done from the Melbourne office of Printing Industries.

Ron Patterson, General Manager of Printing Industries in Victoria says, “Printing Industries has long supported an educational component to complement exhibitions such as PacPrint, which is a once in four year opportunity for graphic arts personnel not only to see new products and services first-hand, but to learn as much as possible about what is happening in the industry.”

Topics for the PacPrint 09 Forum series have not yet been finalised, but general directions are already becoming clear, Patterson says.

“Feedback from the industry at this stage suggests that people are interested in exploring new directions and possibilities for new and growing business areas, identifying any potential impacts on business of new technology and changing market conditions, and just generally in equipping themselves to be as profitable and competitive as possible over the short to medium term.”

Issues such as the environment, future industry directions and leadership, therefore, have already been identified as possible subjects of interest.

Also in the news, organizers says the PacPrint website, www.pacprint.com.au, has all the latest information on who’s involved, what will be on display and what’s happening in and around the exhibition.

Alastair Hadley, Chairman of the PacPrint 09 Board, says the new website will prove a vital resource to every graphic arts professional, allowing them to plan their visit to the show with a greater degree of detail and precision than ever before.

He says, “The website will carry the most up to date information on exhibitors, events and highlights of the upcoming exhibition, so visitors can decide exactly who, and what, they need to see, and plan their visit to maximise the opportunities provided at the show.”

As well as a complete list of current exhibitors with their stand details, the site will carry a floorplan clearly showing each exhibitor’s location, a full list of events for visitors to diarise and FAQs to assist both exhibitors and visitors.
