Tim Daisy, global marketing manager Prism, says, “Generally these shows are just meet and greets, seeing old faces, which is great but we have gotten quite a few prospects out of this, companies we didn’t know of before.”
Prism has highlighted its MIS offering. Daisy says, “Most companies have MIS and they gather a tremendous amount of data but they miss the quotes that they are not expecting, for example which jobs am I expecting to ship today but I haven’t shipped. We offer a solution that deals with that. It’s really about taking the information overload and chunking it down to manageable chunks. Among our latest technology is a wizard that gives the ability to automate repeatable tasks, removing estimators and planners from the job with repeatable types of work. This means high levels of automation.”
He says the show provided two major benefits to Prism. He says, “One is that we wanted to make sure we could see indiduals on our customer base that we don’t normally see, like estimators and shop floor guys. It gives them the opportunity to see what’s new. The other big plus is that we’ve had access to prospective clients and we have received some very positive responses.”
